Detrol^® LA (tolterodine tartrate extended release capsules) is an FDA-approved prescription medicine for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms — leaks, strong sudden urges to go, and going too often.

Just 1 Detrol LA capsule, once a day, is clinically proven to reduce OAB symptoms over a 24-hour period.* (The "LA" in Detrol LA stands for long acting.)

How Detrol LA is thought to work

OAB symptoms can occur when the bladder muscle is too active. This means that the muscle contracts, or squeezes, too often or when you don’t want it to. This can cause a strong sudden urge to urinate even when the bladder isn't full. Detrol LA helps calm the bladder muscle. That can help reduce OAB symptoms like leaks, strong sudden urges to go, and going too often.
