Results with Detrol LA

Detrol LA can significantly reduce OAB symptoms, but everyone is different when it comes to seeing results. For some people, symptoms begin to improve as soon as the first week that they take Detrol LA. Most patients continue to improve as they take Detrol LA for several months. So, if you’ve just started taking Detrol LA, give it a full chance to work. As with some other medicines, if you stop taking Detrol LA, your symptoms may return.

Detrol LA may cause allergic reactions that may be serious. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include swelling of the face, lips, throat, or tongue. If you experience these symptoms, you should stop taking Detrol LA and get emergency medical help right away.

How to take Detrol LA

• Take Detrol LA as prescribed by your doctor. The recommended dosage for most patients is 1 capsule once a day.
• Detrol LA can be taken at any time of day. Try to take it at the same time each day so you don't forget.
• Detrol LA can be taken with or without food. But be sure to take it with liquids and swallow the capsule whole.
• If you miss a dose of Detrol LA, take the next dose as scheduled the following day. Do not take 2 doses of Detrol LA in the same day.
• Tell your doctor if you take any other medicines before you take Detrol LA. Be sure to mention prescription and over-the-counter medicines as well as vitamins and herbal supplements.
• Use caution while driving or doing other dangerous activities until you know how Detrol LA affects you.
